The Dogon and Sirius: Examining the Famous Astronomical Mystery
The Dogon Sirius claim has been presented in numerous books and documentaries as proof of ancient alien contact: a people in West Africa who possessed detailed knowledge of a star invisible to the naked eye, knowledge that Western astronomy only confirmed with telescopes. The intellectually honest position on the Dogon Sirius case is that the evidentiary foundation for the claim is seriously damaged. The original research rests on a single source.
