The question underneath ancient astronaut theory is a real one: if the galaxy is billions of years old and intelligent life arose elsewhere first, civilizations millions of years older than ours would have had ample time to reach Earth. If they came, when? In what form? What would they have left?

Why Monument-Building Is the Wrong Model
